COVID-19 Phased Reopening Pop up

Masks are appreciated for anyone coming inside Lane Animal Hospital. Our staff will continue to wear theirs. Space is a challenge in our exam rooms, and in general when caring for pets. Since social distancing is not possible masks continue to be encouraged to be worn by all.

If you are feeling ill with any type of illness, COVID-19 or otherwise, we ask you to please utilize our curbside appointments only or to reschedule when you are feeling better.

Curbside service visits are available for all clients, for any reason as we move forward. Simply let our client service team know that when you call to check in for your appointment (or when you schedule).

These past 2 years of the pandemic have been challenging for everyone, our team and all of you. Please be assured our amazing group of dedicated and compassionate individuals are working hard to make sure your pets are as comfortable and stress free as possible when coming into the hospital with or without you, consistently using Fear Free techniques and patience with each of them!

We are proud of the fact that we have not had to close once or alter our operating hours for the hospital at all over the past 2 years because of the protocols we have put in place. Even when doctors and staffing became limited due to sickness and quarantines, we have been able to remain here for you and your pets consistently with a doctor available. We will continue to weekly reevaluate our current protocols and how the hospital flow is working. We have and will continue to do everything in our ability to keep our staff and clients safe.

We sincerely hope all of you know we are so thrilled to have you back inside with us!

For your pet’s safety and the safety of all the animals in the care of LAH:
Please note that many vaccines do not take affect for 10-14 days, so we require your pet be fully vaccinated per our elective requirements a minimum of 7 days before boarding at Lane Animal Hospital. I agree and understand this policy.

Alternatively, Isolation boarding, available on an extremely limited basis, is a much higher cost due to the additional cleaning (before and after) required, along with other precautionary measures that must be taken by our staff in order to limit your pet’s exposure and other pets from being exposed to yours.

All boarding pets are required to be up to date with Heartworm and Intestinal Parasite Prevention, as well as Flea and Tick Parasite Prevention prior to boarding.
Please see our approved list for details on which preventatives we allow based on their effectiveness and the parasites they prevent.

For the safety of your pet as well as our other guests, all vaccines must be current. We require written proof or phone confirmation from your veterinarian if we do not currently see your pet here at LAH of vaccine; including Rabies, DA2PP, Leptospirosis, FVRCP (cats), Bordetella (dogs), the “Bivalent” Canine Influenza vaccine (dogs), a negative heartworm test in the last year, as well as a negative fecal within the last 6 months, for any pet that says at Lane Animal Hospital. If you are unable to provide proof of these vaccinations, a doctor at our facility will provide a comprehensive physical exam, appropriate vaccines, and a fecal exam at your expense.
Your pet must also be free of internal and external parasites, including fleas and ticks. If not, we will treat at your expense.

*Our doctors can provide a variety of veterinary services while you pet stays with us at your request. Additional history paperwork may be required*
